About Zhangjiajie

Those floating mountains in Avatar weren't CGI — they were Zhangjiajie's quartz-sandstone pillars, 3,000 of them, some reaching 200 meters straight up. The park is massive (four separate areas) and can overwhelm without a plan. Tianmen Mountain's 99-bend road and the glass walkway cling to cliffs that make you question your life choices. The world's longest glass bridge spans the Grand Canyon — genuinely dizzying, not a theme park gimmick.
